A delegation from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), headed by Majid Sultan Al Ali, Executive Director of Technical Affairs, reviewed the Ministry of Interior's experience in applying the best practices in the field of corporate excellence, as well as the ministry’s participation in the Government Excellence Awards, and the exchange of experiences and knowledge in this area.

Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General, the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, welcomed the visiting delegation. Moreover, he stressed the keenness of the directorate to promote performance and strengthen cooperation between the federal and local institutions and departments. “This would contribute to exchanging knowledge and experiences, reviewing best practices and enhancing partnerships, towards achieving the vision and expectations of the Federal Government,” said Colonel Al Dhaheri.

The meeting was attended by Major Dr. Ali Abdullah Bin Daen Al Ghafli, Head of the Corporate Excellence Department, as well as a number of officers from the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry of Interior, and members of the National Bureau of Statistics’ delegation.

During the visit, Head of the Corporate Excellence Department briefed the visiting delegation on the department’s organizational structure, its various sections, the tasks and duties it carries out, as well as on the excellence methodology implemented at the Ministry of Interior, and its impact on promoting performance at the ministry.

For his part, Majid Al Ali, head of NBS delegation expressed his heartfelt thanks to the ministry’s officials for their warm welcome and hospitality, and for providing the delegation with an opportunity to review the ministry’s experience in the area of corporate excellence. “The Ministry of Interior winning Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Government excellence is a source of pride for all citizens. It is the culmination of the efforts of the ministry to strengthen security and stability,” concluded Mr. Al Ali, wishing the MoI further excellence and progress.
