The Ministry of Interior Village events were launched today at the Bida Bint Masoud area in Al Ain and will last for a week.
Major General Matar Salim Al Niyadi, Director General, Electronic Services and Telecommunications, Ministry of the Interior, has toured the different pavilions of the village which included the police departments and sections, and more than 30 police and awareness activities targeting different segments of the society.
He was accompanied during the tour by Colonel Mohammed Suhail Al Rashedi, Deputy Director of Al Ain Police Directorate, Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Bloushi, Director of Highways Department at the Directorate of Traffic and Patrols of Abu Dhabi Police and a number of police officers.
Al Niyadi stressed that organizing these events in Al Ain comes after the great success achieved in both Abu Dhabi and the Western Region, and as embodiment of the strategy of the Ministry of Interior designed to enhance communication with various segments of society, to serve the country’s security, stability and progress.
He was particularly impressed by the exhibits that highlight the services provided by the Ministry of Interior to the public as well as devices, advanced equipment and modern technologies used in police work.
He noted that the Village aims to spread the culture of security and social awareness, as well as enlightening the public about the services provided by the Ministry of Interior and the efforts to develop them.
A group of school students in Al Ain presented a variety of songs that captured the admiration of visitors.
