Through the ‘Creativity lab’, the Ministry of Interior discusses police work-related issues that are of interest to members of the public, by providing them with the opportunity to express their views and aspirations regarding the quality of services. This would allow the MoI to discuss the feedback received from community members as a means to develop work mechanisms.
The MoI announced that it will receive the public’s views and suggestions regarding various topics related to police work as of Sunday, November 2nd, starting at 10 a.m., as a prelude to putting them up for discussion through the MoI social media feeds that play a key role in establishing a link between the MoI and the public.
This program aims at promoting the MoI’s strategic plans to engage community and upgrade the level of services provided to the public. These objectives are among the MoI’s top priorities and embody its vision to ensure that the Emirate of Abu Dhabi remains a society that enjoys safety and security, by providing high-quality police services to citizens, residents and visitors of the emirate.
Lt. Fatima Al Shehhi, Head of the Social media Center at the Security Media Department, explained that the social networking sites that were launched in 2009 have become an important communication bridge that links the MoI and the public. They have also helped to increase security and social awareness levels via the various messages, image and video materials and contests that witnessed significant turnout and interaction on the part of the public. Lt. Al Shehhi noted that the MoI expects to receive a considerable number of topics and views that would serve the interests of society and fall within the MoI’s area of responsibility.
