During a recent visit to the office of the Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC), a delegation from the Ministry of Interior reviewed the best international practices in the field of inspection, in order to keep abreast of changes and developments and to ensure sustainable development. The delegation was headed by Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior.

The visit aims to implement the cooperation agreement, which was recently signed between the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Inspector General’s Office and Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC).

Major General Dr. Al Raisi and his accompanying delegation met with a number of officials at the Constabulary.

During the meeting, both sides discussed cooperation; coordination; and areas of training related to inspections in police work; as well as the work mechanisms followed in the field of inspection, its effectiveness and impact on the development of police work; as well as the role of regional offices in this process.

Major General Al Raisi emphasized that as a part of its directives, the police leadership constantly calls for developing governmental work in accordance with the best international practices. “This would contribute to achieve leadership in government institutions’ performance; develop the services provided to community members; and keep pace with the requirements of the fourth generation of the government excellence system,” he said.
