Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Interior have ordered the cancellation of over 10,000 traffic radar violation fines which was recorded during the first week when number of radars were newly installed on traffic signals of Abu Dhabi City.
Sheikh Saif at the same time warned the motorists against taking this gesture as a leniency from the part of the traffic authorities and abide by all the traffic regulations and make sure our roads are safer.
The number of radars newly installed is to further improve the traffic safety regulations and more modern technologies will be introduced to make the road safer.
Though the fines have been cancelled, the violations will remain on record, said the Minister.
