Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, awarded 17 officers from the General Directorate of Finance and Services with their new ranks. The officers were promoted by virtue of the recently issued ministerial decree No. 174 of 2014.

As part of the promotion, 11 officers were promoted to the rank of Captain and 6 officers to the rank of First Lieutenant. The officers are staff members from the Engineering Projects Department, the Financial Affairs Department, the Procurement and Warehouses Department, the Medical Services Department, and the Transport and Workshops Department.

Major General Badran congratulated the newly promoted officers and praised their efforts in the performance of their duties. He conveyed the regards of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior to the officers and called upon them to maintain the advanced level of police work and services. He said: “This promotion reflects the higher leadership's care and attention towards its citizens and its appreciation of their continuous efforts and loyalty to enhance security journey and preserve the national gains.”

Major General Badran valued the officers’ keenness and excellence in discharging the duties assigned to them and enhancing the quality of services provided to the public, a feature that has become a characteristic of Abu Dhabi Police's work and an inherent part of its strategy. He pointed out to the police leadership's attention to improve the efficiency of its human cadres by granting them promotions in appreciation of their loyal efforts in the line of duty.

For their part, the newly promoted officers expressed their pride in their new ranks; stressing that such appreciation represents an incentive for them to better perform their duties in police work, as per the Abu Dhabi Police's strategy, to achieve a secure society. They also pledged to exert additional efforts to support the progress and development process witnessed by the various sectors across the country.
