MOU between ADP and British
Search and Rescue Team singned
HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy prime Minister and Minister of Interior witnessed yesterday, Monday the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between ADP GHQ and the British Search and Rescue Team, regarding cooperation in search and rescue areas. Major General Nasser La Khreibani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of HH's Office, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of ADP Central Operations and a number of officers were present during the ceremony.
Major Mohammad Abdul Jaleel Al Anssari, Field Liaison Officer with UN signed for ADP and Mr. Michel Thomas, Leader of British Search and Rescue Team signed for British side.
This agreement is within the framework of our Higher Leadership vision and support for joint coordination and cooperation with brotherly and friendly nations in areas of mutual interest performance promotion.
Major Al Anssari said "According to the agreement ADP and the British Search and rescue Team will cooperate in building search and rescue capabilities and disasters management in urban areas. This includes training and exercising during the response to international disasters in which both parties participate".
"The agreement includes assistance in promotion of search and rescue team in urban areas in Abu Dhabi on continuous basis, exchange of expertise, participation in training programmes,
Coordination of efforts to prepare and handle disasters and cooperation in training areas in accordance with the agreement", added Al Anssari.
