The Ports Security Institute at the Ports and Airports Security Department, affiliated to the Directorate General of Ports and Airports Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police, celebrated the graduation of 91 participants after completing four specialized security courses.
Colonel Matar Ahmed Al Muhairi, Director of the Institute, noted that training police staff members embodies the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy to improve the abilities and enhance the efficiency of human cadres in various police and security areas. He also added that the Institute has been keen to organize several courses that include graduates from various police and services departments, in order to keep up with the latest developments in the various service sectors in the UAE, and to enable employees to perform their professional tasks in the best possible ways.
Moreover, he indicated that the participants received scientific training and practical application courses that honed their skills and developed their competencies in all sciences, so as to maintain the security and safety witnessed by the country and preserve its national gains in all areas.
At the end of the ceremony, Colonel Al Muhairi distributed certificates to the graduates, in the presence of a number of officers from the Ports and Airports Security Department. He also urged the graduates to exert further efforts in order to develop police work, apply the knowledge they acquired in the courses in their work and share it with their colleagues; so as to enhance the level and quality of services provided to the public.
