GCC States plan to establish Police system

 Extradition treaty under discussion

 

The Ministers of Interior from the GCC Countries held discussions in Manama about the setting up of a GCC Police system. The discussion follows in response to the sensitivity of the situation in the region. The new arrangement will be on the line of the Interpol system.

 Lt.Gen. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, said it was very essential for us to deal with the security issues with more openness, solidarity and transparency.

 “We are one nation and what affects one country affects all of us, so we share a collective responsibility to rise up to the nations aspirations”, The meeting will also discuss the establishment of a center for gathering and sharing information’s, said Sheikh Saif.

 The Ministers also have discussed an extradition treaty.
