GCC Interior Ministers to discuss anti terror center
 
A proposal for setting up an international center for combating terrorism is on top of the agenda of the GCC interior ministers conference scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi next Tuesday.
 
The meeting to be held under the chairmanship of UAE Interior Minister Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan will discuss major security issues concerning the Gulf States.
 
The meeting will discuss the ways to activate the mechanism for effectively implementing the agreement for establishing a center to combat terrorist threats as well as dangers posed to the security of the Gulf States.
 
 
The Ministers will also review number of other security related matters such as fighting drug trafficking, traffic and civil defense issues. The meting will also discuss the deteriorating situation in Iraqi ad its impact on the neighboring GCC Countries.
 
The Ministers will also look into the effective ways to prevent a possible infiltration of Iraqi militants and foreign fighters into their countries.
