The Media and Public Relations Section at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, marked World First Aid Day with an awareness lecture on the importance of of first aid training in preventing injuries and saving lives. The lecture was held at the Spirit of the Union Hall, at the Naturalization, Residency and Port Affairs’ Headquarters, and was delivered by trainer and paramedic Imad bin Ammar, from the Medical Services Department at Abu Dhabi Police.

The lecture is part of the educational awareness program set up by the Media and Public Relations Section. It aims to raise health and cultural awareness among staff members and to avail the best experiences and expertise in the field.

The lecturer gave an overview of first aid basics, with practical hands-on demonstrations on first-aid training dummies and other technological equipment. He focused on the necessary procedures to be taken in everyday and crisis situation and how to handle them. Attendees were acquainted with the importance of first aid interventions and skills, which can be life-saving pending the arrival of the ambulance or doctor.

The lecture was attended by a number of officers, non-commissioned officers, and female staff members at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector.
