Emirates identity authority’s web site launched

Lt. Gen.Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minster of Interior and vice chairman of EIDA launched the official website of the emirates identity authority.
The EIDA is responsible for implementing the national identity card and population projects which are considered as the two most advanced IT projects in the Middle East.
Launching the web site is important as it reflects the rapid growth of the country. This would never have happened without the true and thoughtful guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy Supreme commander of the UAE armed forces and chairman of EIDA, said Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif.
The web site embodies our vision of implementing the most advanced technologies and utilizing them to facilitate the services we offer to all those who live in this land. With the ID card and population register and other e-services in place there will be a lot of improvement in the country, he added.
The web site www.emiratesid.ae includes comprehensive information about the ID card and the populations register.
