The Civil Defense Directorate General organized a forum for partners, suppliers and supply company representatives. The forum, which was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai, was attended by Major General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Civil Defense Acting General Commander-in-chief.

In his speech at the inauguration of the forum, Major General Al Matrooshi said, “We are keen to providing high quality services to partners according to the requirements of the technical committee.”  Moreover, he called upon all entities to provide high-end devices, machinery and equipment that are in line with the international safety and quality standards to better serve community members and maintain their safety.

Colonel Jassim Abdullah Hamid, Chairman of the Technical Committee, reviewed the most important topics that were discussed on the forum’s agenda.

 Lieutenant Colonel Hussein Mohamed Al Rahoomi, Head of Station Affairs Department at the Dubai Civil Defense Directorate General, gave a presentation showcasing the vision and mission of the Ministry of Interior, in addition to the strategy and values of the Civil Defense General Headquarters.

During the forum, answers were provided to attendees’ inquiries related to the committee’s work mechanism, the future challenges faced by the Ministry of Interior in the Civil Defense field. Discussions also included an overview of the most important procedures carried out before and after the selection of vehicles and equipment that are agreed upon according to required conditions.

Towards the end of the forum, it was agreed to allocate an open day for suppliers before year’s end to exhibit their new products under one roof, in a way that meets quality requirements and guarantees the provision of sophisticated services to all community members, using the latest and best machinery and equipment in the public health and safety sector.
