Choice number plates to go on auction in Abu Dhabi
Few series of choice number plates bearing single to five digits numbers will be auctioned next month. This was disclosed at a press conference held at the vehicle licensing department of the General headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police yesterday
The press was briefed by Lt.Col.Mohammed Mayoof Al Kutbi, director of the vehicle licensing department. Others present at the meeting included Lt.Col.AbdulRehman Al kamali, director of the special department at the General Headquaters,Major Suhail Al Khaili head of the vehicle licensing section and Abdullah al mania executive manager of the emirates auction company who are the organizers of the auction.
The auction will be carried out in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Islamic bank and will be held at the Emirates place hotel on the 12th of next month at 10 o clock
A total number of 41 number plates will be auctioned bearing different choice numbers, single number that will be auctioned is number 5, double digits includes 12, 15,45,55,76, and 88,there are 10 numbers of three digit plates and 12 numbers each of four and five digits plates. The details of the auction will be available on the website and also could be obtained from the licensing department.
Entry to the auction will have a nominal charge and the winner will have to pay the whole amount immediately after the auction. The money received through the auction will go to the rehabilitation of the road accident victims and also for the welfare of the specially challenged people said Lt.Col.Al Kutbi.
