Campaign against over speeding register
19635 traffic offences against motorists
 
 
Abu Dhabi traffic and patrolling department have intensified its campaign against over speeding and registered 19635 traffic violations by motorists during the period from first June till 21st July
 
 Traffic department in its efforts to curb drivers who exceed speed limits has also issued strict warning to motorists with more stringent actions during and even after the on going traffic safety campaign. The aim is to reduce traffic accidents, deaths and injuries by 20 percent in five years as its long term traffic safety strategy.
 
Lt. Col. Khamis Ishaq, Deputy Director of ADP Traffic and Patrols Department said that the campaign against over speeding is simultaneously going on in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region as part of the quarterly GCC campaign under the theme (Speed). The campaign will continue up to 31 July.
 
He cautioned all the motorists to abide by the traffic safety regulations and cooperate with the department in assuring road safety for all the road users.
