Campaign against illegal residency
As the grace period given to illegal workers to leave the country ends on November 3, authorities have stepped up measures to ensure that no illegal residents remain in the country.
The campaign was launched under the directives of His Highness Lt.General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan ,the Minister of Interior The campaign titled together against illegal immigration has been launched by the ministry of interior urging members of the community to stop supporting illegal residents by providing them shelter or work.
The campaign stresses the role of citizens in working together with the officials to stop this menace and the campaign would run until the 10th of November focusing on educating the public about the dangers of employing illegals. Police called upon the people to cooperate with them to make the campaign a success.
