COMMITTEE REVIEWS UNIFIED IDENTIFICATION CARD PROJIECT

Nationals and expatriates will soon be obtain identification card project from convenient locations in different Emirates.

Special counters will also be allocated for women. This was said by the technical team in charge of implementing the project, which is aimed at raising the level of national security.

Officials from the Ministry of Interior, Abu Dhabi and Dubai Police recently discussed technical specifications and reviewed plans for the implementation of the ID cards.

The technical committee in charge of the ID card project discussed with Lt.Gen. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai Police Chief, the details of the project.

The meeting was held in line with the directives of Maj. Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, to discuss the mechanism to be adopted for the implementation of the unified ID cards.

Lt Col Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Police Information Technology Department, who is also director of the unified ID project, reviewed the project’s technical details.
