Balanced diet for Abu Dhabi Prisoners
 
About 1,800 inmates at the reformatories and rehabilitation department of the Abu Dhabi Police will now have a balanced diet, thanks to the welfare measures initiated by the Interior Ministry.
 
Brigadier Yousef Abdul Karim, director of the reformatory and rehabilitation department said that the scheme is being implemented under the directives of His Highness Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minster of Interior.
 
Brigadier Karim said that the inmates comprising about 120 Nationalities will benefit from this initiative. Abu Dhabi National Hotels Company has been given the responsibility for implementing the new measures and the company has set up kitchen and restaurant facilities at the RRD premises.
 
The new menu consists of meat, chiken and fish three times a week in addition to fruits, youghurt and salads.
