Around 10,000 Iftar meals to be distributed by Abu Dhabi Police


Around 10,000 Iftar meals will be distributed by Abu Dhabi Police during the holy month of Ramadan to motorists and road users in Abu Dhabi, Taraif and Al Ain. 
Starting from the first day of Ramadan, the meals are being distributed to motorists who are unable to reach their destination by the Iftar time .
Workers whose nature of work force them to stay at working sites until Maghreb prayers, employees at the border checkposts and the needy people will benefit from this programme.
In addition, 10,000 books on do‘s and don’ts during fasting will also be distributed. Major Nasir Khadim Al Ka’bi, head of the social affairs and instructions section at the media and public relations department, said that distribution of the Iftar meals started from the first day of Ramadan in coordination with the traffic and patrols department. He also urged motorists to abide by the speed limits for their own safety.
