He additionally pointed out the missions of the Higher Committee for Child Protection, and the achievements of the MoI Child Protection Center in addition to the collaborations with various community entities.

“The principles of child protection stem from the hearts of our leaders,” said Major General Al Nuaimi in a discussion panel recently hosted by the Al Bateen Council in Abu Dhabi. He continued, speaking about the importance of education surrounding the many issues of child protection and its large-scale presence in society. Major General Al Nuaimi additionally highlighted the importance of the relationship between the child and his mother, especially during the first three years of the child’s life. He referred to statistical data that validates reliable indicators regarding the link between the nature of this relationship - as this relationship provides children with feelings of tenderness and safety, it affects a child’s psychological stability and their level of intelligence. He also stressed that there is nothing stronger for a child than to be embraced in the maternal kindness and tenderness that only a mother is capable of giving her child.

It is worth mentioning that Major General Al Nuaimi is also the Chairman of the Higher Committee for Child Protection and the UAE representative at the Virtual Global Taskforce (VGT) for child protection against sexual exploitation and internet crimes.
