Lt. Colonel Salah Al Hemairi, Head of the Al Ain Highways Traffic Section, said: “The workshops are part of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ strategy, which aims to develop the capabilities and performance of staff members, to ensure their unrelenting readiness to deal with any potential emergency. They also aim to promote collaboration and community participation, in accordance with the methodologies espoused at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate.”

Lt. Colonel Al Hemairi also pointed out that the workshops included training on the proper ways to best handle cases of CPR, fractures, burns, and fainting and bleeding accidents. He said: “The workshops targeted officers, non-commissioned officers and constables in the patrols sector. They particularly aim to enhance their first aid knowledge and skills, due to their instrumental role in administering lifesaving treatment to road victims as the first responders.”
