A delegation from Al Ain Police Directorate visited Zayed Central Library. The delegation was headed by Major Saleh Al Saadi from the Public Relations Section, and included a number of officers and employees from the different police stations affiliated to Al Ain Police Directorate.

This visit falls in line with the initiative titled “Al Ain Police Reads”, which was initiated in response to the “2016 Year of Reading” initiative that was launched by Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. It is also part of a set of activities organized by Abu Dhabi Police to encourage the culture of reading and knowledge amongst staff members, to boost their intellectual and cultural level in a way that supports their skills, capabilities, and the level of police work.

The delegation members were briefed by Rashid Abdulrahman, Director of Zayed Central Library, and a number of library officials about the library’s collections; scientific resources and specialized clubs; as well as its most important achievements. They also discussed the optimal mechanisms to allow the Al Ain Police personnel to benefit from the wide array of services provided by the library.

The Al Ain Police delegation toured the library’s different sections, and examined its latest publications, which are issued under the guidance of the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority.
