Air wing rescue 7 nationals from the sea
 
The air wing of the Abu Dhabi Police have rescued 7 UAE nationals from the sea when their boat was struck in a shallow costal area near one of the Abu Dhabi islands
 
The operation room of the air wing department received the message from the central operation department about the incident and immediately began the preparations of the rescue mission in coordination with other concerned departments.
 
The rescuers used the GPS device installed in the helicopter to track the location of the people trapped in the sea and managed to zero in on the spot and provided them with food and water and were then helped out by the rescue team.
 
In another incident the air wing alo helped a 50 year old Filipino who was in a serious condition by air lifting her to Mafarq hospital in Abu Dhabi. A fully equipped air wing ambulance rushed with medical staff immediately on receiving the message for assistance and airlifted to the hospital.
