Air force team lifts Directors Cup
The Air Force team won the Capital Police directors cup for the football match which was organized by the department of Community Police at Baniyas and Al Rahba Police Stations. The match lasted for two weeks, and various teams participated during the event.
The final was played between the air force team and the community police were the former won convincingly scoring 13 goals to nil.
Speaking on the occasion of the closing of the event Major Mohamed Rashed Al Shamsi, Director in charge of Baniyas Police of the Police Operations Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters said that the event was aimed at enhancing the relationship between various segments of the community and the Police.
He handed over the winner’s trophy to the air force team and gold medals to the players. Shield for the best team was given to Za’beel Tigers and trophy for the best goalkeeper also went to Mohamed Al Hamami of the same team.
