Abu Dhabi police gears up to handle highway summer traffic
The traffic and patrols department at the General headquarters of Abu Dhabi police have made all the preparations for handling the road safety requirements of the summer vacation traffic especially on the highways
Colonel Gaith Al Zaabi, director of the traffic and patrols department said that various check points for controlling the traffic and assisting the people who are traveling on vacation especially to the neighboring countries have been taken.
Special patrols and road assistance teams will be deployed as and when necessary and special teams to handle emergency situations have also been set up. He advised the travelers to strictly adhere to the traffic rules and speed limits.
A traffic safety campaign will also be organized during this period and leaflets will be distributed to create awareness regarding the safety precautions and travel norms to be adhered to especially with the maintenance and safety of the vehicles.
