Abu Dhabi police attend drug symposium
A delegation from Abu Dhabi police is attending a symposium on drug related issues in London. The five day symposium is being organized by a British drug company and many participants from various countries are participating in it.
The Abu Dhabi delegation is led by Major Khabeer Anwar Al Awadi, head of the chemical analysis section of the department of criminal investigation. The experts will be discussing various issues related to drug trafficking and its prevention including identifying drugs and methods of investigations related to drug abuse.
The conference and exhibition was aimed at familiarizing the global narcotic control experts with the latest technology and equipments in locating contraband drugs.
Several new equipments for identifying narcotics were shown at the conference which was attended by experts from USA, Germany, Czech Republic Sweden, Spain, France and Saudi Arabia.
