Abu Dhabi Police to showcase their tech skills at Gitex
Abu Dhabi Police for the first time will be participating in the Gitex at the world trade center Dubai and show case their technological skills and other latest applications implemented at various levels of safety and security operations.
Colonel Ismail Al Serkal, head of the information technology department at the central operations department at the General headquarters of Abu Dhabi police, explaining about the importance of participation said that it is in line with the directives of His Highness Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed al Nahyan,the Minister of Interior, to keep abreast with the latest technological development and its application in the security affairs also to provide proper exposure and information regarding its implementation and usefulness for the general public.
The exhibition stall of the Abu Dhabi police will be showcasing in particular the details of e-services provided by its various departments, its online web servises, the public service kiosks which are being set up at various police stations, malls and other popular areas from where the public can avail its various services like fine checking and payments and other such day to day services availed by the public.
During the Gitex people can also register them for the e-gate card which has been implemented in UAE for the easy transit through the airports and quite useful for the frequent travelers.
The security department will be showcasing the iris scan technology that has been successfully implemented by the Abu Dhabi police which helps the easy identification of illegal’s and the criminals and its usefulness in other kinds of criminal investigations.
The venue will also be an opportunity for the general public to interact with the police and get themselves acquainted with various security and safety operations carried out by the Abu Dhabi police, its public oriented and socially committed quality services, Added Colonel Al Serkal.
