Abu Dhabi Police set up rapid unit for rescue and emergencies

The Abu Dhabi General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police has set up a new rapid action unit in the Al Ain industrial area to deal with emergencies and carry out rescue operations especially during fire incidents.
The facility is a part of an integrated plan that will be extended to most areas of the country. According to the head of the rapid action unit in Abu Dhabi, Lt.Col.Othman Yousef Al Tihami, the new unit has been set up on the orders of His Highness Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Interior.
Well trained servicemen will be posted at the new unit, which is meant to work round the clock using the latest equipments to handle fire incidents and other emergency requirements, he said.
