The Knowledge Center at the Strategy and Performance Development Department at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, recently organized a workshop marking the commencement of the ‘Inventory of Tacit Knowledge’ project designed for knowledge coordinators at all departments within the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.

The workshop, which was held at the Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, was inaugurated by Major Dr. Saif Salem Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director of the Strategy and Performance Development. In his opening speech, Major Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted the importance of the workshop in reflecting the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s vision, which aims at ensuring that the Emirate of Abu Dhabi remains a society that enjoys safety and security, by providing high-quality police services to citizens, residents and visitors of the emirate.

“Knowledge forums and workshops organized by the Knowledge Center aim at enhancing the knowledge culture and spreading it across all sectors, by implementing the best practices. These forums represent the perfect opportunity to discuss and review the distinguished experiences and to share and develop knowledge,” he added.

For his part, Major Khaled Hussein Al Khoury, Director of the Knowledge Center at the General Directorate of Strategy and Performance Development, gave an overview of the Knowledge Center’s achievements, and the most important topics of the Center’s future plans for the year 2015. He also highlighted the importance of such knowledge-based initiatives in ensuring continued transfer of expertise between staff members; investing in performance development; and enhancing knowledge management at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.

Several practical exercises were also carried out during the workshop, which provided an interactive and engaging experience for attendees.
