Abu Dhabi Police evaluates the second round of the Ministry of Interior Award

 

The Organizing Committee of HH the Minister of Interior’s Award for best police station and distinguished officer at ADP Directorate General of Policing Operations has held a workshop at The Department of Forensic Evidence Conference Room, to discuss the outcomes and results of the second evaluation round of the Award.

Brigadier Jasim Al Marzouqi, Deputy Director General of Human Resources and Deputy Chairman of the Award Committee, has opened the workshop, with the presence of Directors of Departments at the Directorate General of Policing Operations, their Deputies for Police Stations Affairs, Directors of Police Stations and Officers participating in the Award.

Brigadier Al Marzouqi has lauded the Police Leadership’s interest in the development of policing and organization of such events to know best practices and to spread a culture of excellence through sharing the experiment of the distinguished police station and distinguished officer for the benefit of all, so as to serve as an example for others during the coming rounds of the Award. Thus to achieve the strategic objectives of ADP GHQ.

The workshop discussed how employees can implement the standards of total quality and excellence in performance at its best levels. The Award has been introduced in accordance with world quality standards so as to become an additional point for ADP GHQ in Abu Dhabi Award for Distinguished Government Performance.

Lt. Colonel Musalam al Amri has reviewed Al Khaldiyah Police Station experience as it won the Best Comprehensive Police Station Award. He has reviewed how the police station prepared and qualified to comply with the Award standards, the submission of document process and production of clear evidence in evaluation process.

The workshop was run by Major Mohammad Hussain Al Khoori, Head of Strategic Planning Section at the Directorate General of Policing Operations and Member of the Committee. He drew attention to the role of the Award in skills and the graduation of new officers in the area of excellence.

He has explained that the criteria and standards employed in evaluation of the winners of Award Categories need effort, dedication, administrative and personal development to possess the tools that assist in reaching excellence. Police Stations and Police Departments must work hard to continue their distinguished work in community service in order to achieve strategic objectives.  

Then the questions and queries of the audience were answered and reports for the chances to improve the performance of police stations and officers participating in the Award were distributed to the audience.
