Abu Dhabi Police and armed forces sign agreement on rehabilitation of the specially challenged
 
Interior Minister Lt. General sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan today attended a ceremony to sign an agreement between Abu Dhabi Police and the Armed Forces by which, the latter will employ 300 to 450 of the graduates of Rehabilitation and Employment Centre for Disabled People

The graduates will be appointed in administrative and supporting jobs at the Armed Forces' GHQ.

Sheikh Saif said that the agreement is a testimony to the great attention given by President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces for providing jobs to people with special needs.

Colonel Juma Ali Al Hemairi, Director of Manpower at the Armed Forces' GHQ, said that his department has carefully studied fields of specialization of RECDP graduates.

Nasser bin Aziz, Supervisor of the RECDP, said that Sheikh Saif has ordered setting up of two new centres for rehabilitation and employment of people with special needs and people with physical disabilities to train them before joining the country's labour market.

The signing ceremony was attended by Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of UAE Armed Forces and Major General Saif Al Shafaar, Under Secretary of Interior Ministry.
