To mark the Zayed Humanitarian Day and as part of the societal participations carried out by the Volunteers Branch at the Abu Dhabi Police, the volunteers launched a community-based initiative. As part of the initiative, which reflects feelings of loyalty and gratitude to his Highness late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, volunteers distributed 1500 meals to the needy in the city of Abu Dhabi, as well as 200 "Mir Ramadan" baskets containing multiple food items. The volunteers also distributed 250 prepaid phone credits to allow them to communicate with their families during the holy month of Ramadan.

Furthermore, a group of volunteers also distributed new clothes to the needy with a view to bring happiness and inspire compassion among members of society, especially the police officers and residents of the UAE.
