Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, honored 22 distinguished officers and non-commissioned officers from the Peripheral Regions Traffic Department. The ceremony was held at the Officers’ Club in the Directorate and aims to recognize the staff members’ distinguished efforts in discharging their duties.

Brigadier Al Harithi conveyed the greetings of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, who praised the honorees’ dedicated efforts in discharging their duties. He also stressed His Highness’s keenness to reinforce efforts to improve performance to the best levels; to avoid human and economic losses caused by traffic accidents.

Furthermore, Brigadier Al Harithi urged the honorees to exert further excellence in performance, to maintain quality standards and to continuously strive to improve their performance within a spirit of teamwork. he also called upon them to constantly develop their performance and encourage their colleagues to follow their lead.

“This accolade represents a motive for all employees to work diligently and with dedication, so as to implement our strategy aimed at developing traffic management and road safety practices, on par with international best practices. It also aims to achieve the Abu Dhabi Vision of zero road deaths by 2030,” concluded Brigadier Al Harithi.

For their part, the honorees expressed their pride for this generous gesture, which they consider as a medal of honor from His Highness. They also stressed that this honor will be an incentive for them and their colleagues to compete and continue to achieve the coveted objectives and further excellence, so as to maintain traffic safety.

The ceremony was attended by Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Bloushi, Head of Peripheral Regions Traffic Departments; Colonel Khalifa Al Khaili, Director of Traffic and Road Safety Engineering Department, and a number of officers from the directorate.
