The Ports Security Institute at the Ports and Airports Security Department at Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of 122 participants from the various police departments after completing six one-week specialized courses in a number of police and administrative sciences, as well as procedures relevant to airports and inspection.
Director of the Institute, Colonel Matar Ahmed Al Muhairi, indicated that training police and security forces embodies the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy to raise its human cadre’s efficiency, to keep abreast of global developments, and maintain the security and safety witnessed by the country.
“The Institute has endeavored to organize several courses in various policing and security sciences, with the view to support all departments that provide services to the public, according to international-best standards and practices”, added Al Muhairi.
Furthermore, he lauded the efforts of instructors to hone the practical and academic skills of participants, aiming to enhance the quality of services provided in all areas. Concluding, he called on the graduates to serve their country with loyalty and apply the knowledge they acquired to enhance their performance.
For her part, Lieutenant Colonel Naima Salem Awad, Training Branch Manager at the Ports Security Institute indicated that a total of 122 participants attended the six specialized courses. They were acquainted with a number of police and security sciences related to airport operations, inspection and others.
At the end of the ceremony, the Director of the Institute distributed certificates to the graduates, in the presence of a number of officers and officials from the Abu Dhabi Ports and Airports Security Department.
