AD Police and UK's Centrex sign MoU

Abu Dhabi Police and UK's Leadership Academy for Policing Centrex signed a memorandum of understanding at the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police.

The MoU was signed by brigadier Mohammed bin Al Awadi Al Menhali for AD Police and Director of the Leadership Academy of Policing for Centrex in United Kingdom Jenny Deere.

"We have made huge achievements that meet the demands of the huge responsibilities we shoulder. That leads to building a modern police force strategically and scientifically planned to keep pace with the ongoing changes and challenges of different security phenomena", Sheikh Saif said.

"The MoU provides an overarching agreement to the mutual benefit of both parties. It will allow other contracts to follow including a very significant and exciting project to put in place a Human Resources plan that will be the platform for the recruitment, development and deployment of officers, non commissioned officers and staff", Deere said in a presentation at the signing ceremony.

"In the initial phase we will be working (with AD Police) on the modernization and efficiency improvements of the Police School and on workforce resourcing demand plans...(and) the second phase will look at role profiles by rank and role, promotion processes, and building existing appraisals and performance frameworks", she added.

The signing ceremony was attended by UK ambassador to UAE Edward Anthony Oakden and senior officials.
