Abu Dhabi Police GHQ honored 54 distinguished staff members from the Directorate General of Finance and Services in the “Director General” category, as part of the preparations for the new edition of the Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award. The ceremony was held recently at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, as tribute to winners and participants, as well as the Award evaluation team and executives.
Major General Khalil Dawoud Badran, Director General of Finance and Services, stressed the keenness of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to motivate the human cadres and enhance their competencies, since they represent the key element of institutional productivity. He also reiterated His Highness’s commitment to enable the police force to excel in terms of performance and public services in order to provide a suitable environment conducive to excellence and innovation for police and security staff members.
In his speech at the ceremony, Major General Badran said that the Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award embodies the higher leadership’s attention and support of human development efforts and to promote development and modernization in all fields. “The award is also designed to motivate staff members to excel and aims to foster a spirit of positive competition and cooperation among them, in order to encourage achievements in line with international best practices,” he added.
The Director General of Finance and Services praised the efforts of the participants and their valuable contribution to improve police work, service provision and development in general. He noted that the achievements made by the honorees will achieve positive outcomes and quantum leaps in innovative police work. He congratulated the winners, wishing them more success in their professional life. He also encouraged them to double the efforts to secure additional achievements and preserve the cultural and developmental gains.
This year’s edition of the award included live presentations according to a scientific methodology, in order to identify and amend deficiencies and highlight positive aspects achieved compared to the previous edition’s participations, to ensure greater commitment to the standards of the Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award. It was conducted under the supervision of specialized international assessors, who evaluated the participations and praised the excellence achieved in customer and community service, in line with the advanced police work methodology.
The ceremony was attended by Brigadier Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamsi, Deputy Director General of Finance and Services, and a number of many of heads of departments and chiefs of sections from the Directorate General of Finance and Services, as well as many distinguished female staff members from different departments of the Directorate General of Finance and Services.
