A total of 21 officers from the Directorate General of Civil Defense and its affiliated departments at the countrywide level, have obtained a Certified Assessor Certificate for civil defense centers in the UAE, after successfully completing a specialized training course recently held in Singapore.

Participants in the course received theoretical lectures and conducted hands-on field training on the effective implementation of auditing and assessment on the civil defense centers, being one of the latest and most advanced systems applied in this field. The newly graduated officers will be in charge of the assessment process at the various civil defense centers across the UAE.

This strategic initiative was approved and adopted by the Public Safety and Quick Intervention Department at the Security Support Directorate General, the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, as a part of the Ministry of Interior’s strategic plan 2014 – 2016, in an effort to achieve the highest safety levels for civil defense teams.

It is worth mentioning that the newly graduated officers are the first batch of officers to receive accreditation in this field, and subsequent training sessions will follow on from this initial course. The graduation ceremony was attended by H.E. Mohammed Ahmed Hamel Al Qubaisi - UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore.
