Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Port Affairs, attended a religious lecture titled “Convoys of Values”. The lecture, organized by the Directorate General of Resources and Support Services, was held at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs’ Headquarters and presented by the Islamic preacher Sheikh Wassim Yousuf.

The lecture was attended by Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashedi, Head of Naturalization Department; Colonel Khalifa Suhail Al Mazroui, Deputy Head of Naturalization Department; Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Ali bin Wadeema Al Ameri, Acting Director General of Resources and Support Services; along with a number of officers from the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs sector.

During his lecture, Sheikh Wassim Yousuf addressed a number of important topics, such as working in accordance with the teachings of Islam and its association with the Ministry of Interior’s values, namely; justice, teamwork, excellence and loyalty, good conduct, integrity and loyalty.

Moreover, the lecturer tackled Islam’s perspective of the faithful who work and how they deal with their fellow employees in light of the Holy Quran’s and Sunnah’s teachings. He also shed light on the various ways to treat work-related psychological pressure; to deal with colleagues, customers and superiors; how to serve the nation through the job; and the importance of loyalty to the homeland in Islam.  

At the end of the lecture, the floor was opened for discussions and Sheikh Wassim Yousuf answered the attendees’ questions and queries.
