Under the patronage of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the events of the third edition of the Family Security and Safety Forum will commence tomorrow. The three-day forum organized by the Community Police Department in cooperation and coordination with the Peripheral Regions Directorate, will take place at the Heritage Village at the Emirates Park Zoo in Abu Dhabi.

Lt. Colonel Mubarak Bin Muhairom, Head of the Community Police Department in Abu Dhabi, stressed that the Forum is part of the efforts exerted by the Community Police to enhance the safety of the family. “It also provides families with all of the safety means in terms of physical, psychological, health, and environmental security,” he said.

Adding further, he noted that the Forum’s program will feature a number of outreach events, cultural and recreational activities, and safety presentations and workshops to instill positive values of safety within the hearts of children.  

The Head of the Community Police Department indicated that an exhibition will be held on the sidelines of the Forum that will involve government departments and private organizations partnered with the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ). “The exhibition will include a section that highlights the achievements of the Community Police in terms of societal participation, the quick responses to many of the social problems that have been faced, and the appropriate solutions that have been found,” he said. The community police will be also distributing informative  and cultural pamphlets and brochures.
