A delegation from the Ministry of Interior (MoI), headed by Brigadier Ghaith Hassan Al Zaabi, Director General, Traffic Coordination Directorate General, Ministry of Interior, participated in the 32nd Meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Traffic General Directors that was recently held in the Saudi Capital, Riyadh.

The Meeting tackled a number of topics including the media strategy implemented in raising unified traffic awareness, joint traffic awareness programs, in addition to conducting studies to assess previous Unified Traffic Weeks, and linking the violation registration systems at the traffic general directorates in GCC states. The conferees also reviewed the Unified Traffic System of the GCC states.

Brigadier Al Zaabi noted that the meeting strengthens mutual cooperation among the GCC states that utilize its civilized cohesion to develop traffic capacities. This will positively be reflected on the GCC people, and provide an opportunity for each state to suggest and discuss vital issues to achieve a quantum leap in fostering cooperation and activating coordination practices in order to uplift the traffic eco-system to its ultimate advanced levels to realize the aspirations of the GCC people.
