The Higher Organizing Committee of the 2016 International Conference for Security and National Resilience (ISNR) discussed the action plan and the steps undertaken by the sub-committees in preparation for the exhibition and the conference that will be held in March of next year.
The Higher Committee held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Major General Staff Dr. Obeid Al Kutbi, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the exhibition and conference. The meeting was held in El Etihad Hall at the Ministry of Interior’s Headquarters.
The meeting was attended by: Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Higher Committee; Major General Salem Mubarak Al Shamesi, Director General of Finance and Services at the Ministry of Interior; members of the Higher Committee; and heads of the sub-committees for the exhibition and conference.
Maj. General Al Kutbi welcomed the attendees and thanked the efforts and distinguished work they made during the previous session of the conference. Moreover, he urged them to exert further efforts to elevate the exhibition and conference to top ranks in the Middle East and North Africa. The Chairman of the Higher Committee stressed the need to benefit from previous lessons in order to improve and optimize the next session – which would make ISNR 2016 as one of the top three international exhibitions. Maj. General Al Kutbi expressed his hope that the conference will be successful and be at the forefront in the global sphere.
Following his address, the attendees reviewed the vision of the conference, its mission, values and objectives, as well as the organizational structure of the Organizing Committee and the subcommittees. The participants additionally reviewed the goals of the Higher Committee, which include: staying abreast of the latest developments and global challenges, and the best practices, applications, and innovations; transferring knowledge and training; and attracting and ensuring continuous participation of institutions, global manufacturers and pavilions specialized in the areas of security and safety locally, regionally and internationally.
The Managing Director of Reed Exhibitions presented an overview of the exhibition map and timeline and of the accompanying exhibition. The exhibition will include five specialized exhibitions, in addition to three scientific conferences, and numerous events and activities that will be organized within ISNR 2016.
He also reviewed the total area of the exhibition, the spaces that have been sold so far, and the percentage of bookings and number of exhibitors. Moreover, he addressed the importance of the exhibition for governments and national security and civil defense officials. “It allows officials to see the latest technology and advanced equipment used in this area,” he said.
The Managing Director of Reed Exhibitions reviewed the facts and figures achieved by ISNR 2014, and highlighted the achievements of the previous session and the goals to be achieved the upcoming session.
