The Police College hosted a ceremony at its Abu Dhabi headquarters to celebrate the graduation of 30 employees who completed a specialized course within the ‘Security 8’ Program under the slogan ‘Creativity and Innovation in the Service of the Country’. The participants represent the Ministry of Culture and Community Development; the Emirates Foundation for Youth Development – Takatof; the Khalifa Fund for Youth Enterprises Support; the Law Culture Respect Bureau at the Ministry of Interior; the Creativity and Leadership Development Center at the Ministry of Interior; Etihad Airways; and the Emirates Public Relations Association (EPRA).
Colonel Waleed Al Shamesi, Director General of the Police College, distributed the graduation certificates to the graduates. He said: “The Ministry of Interior endeavors to organize such courses in a bid to enhance security awareness amongst the program participants. This would reinforce the skills of human resources and empower them to face the challenges with high efficiency.”
Lt. Colonel Mohammed Butti Al Shamesi, Head of the Relations and Guidance Section at the Police College, explained that the program, in its eighth edition this year, spanned five days of training included lectures and field visits. Participants examined a number of cultural and professional topics, notably ways to use smart applications, photography skills and learned new linguistic terms.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Maitha Al Habsi, Deputy CEO at Emirates Foundation for Youth Development; Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Abdullah Al Khouri, Police College Deputy Director; and a number of department directors and heads of sections at the Police College.
Towards the end of the ceremony, the Police College and participating institutions exchanged gifts and took photos to commemorate the event.
