A delegation from the Social Support Centers Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, visited the Cleveland Clinic - Abu Dhabi Hospital. The visit comes in line with familiarization visits’ program to various governmental and private authorities, and reflect the department’s commitment to conclude effective strategic partnerships that contribute to achieving the objectives of Abu Dhabi Police.

During the visit, a coordinative meeting was held. Colonel Saeed Al Kaabi, Chief of Community Affairs section, at the Social Support Centers Department, gave an overview of the different services provided by the department through its centers in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region (Al Gharbia). He also shed the light on some of the cases handled by the centers; notably domestic violence cases, abuse of women and children and family counseling services; as well as the educational activities and programs provided by the department to segments of the society.

For her part, Kim Johnson, senior social specialist at the Cleveland Clinic - Abu Dhabi Hospital expressed the hospital’s keenness and readiness to cooperate with the Social Support Centers Department, and exchanging expertise and advice between both parties.

Johnson added that introductory brochures will be distributed across the hospital’s major facilities, to acquaint the public with the Social Support Centers. The brochures will include the necessary information for people wishing to communicate with the centers. She also called for organizing educational lectures at the hospital.

The meeting was attended by a number of officers and social specialists from the Social Support Centers Department, along with heads of the departments and supervisors from the Cleveland Clinic - Abu Dhabi Hospital.
