The Social Support Centers Department of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters presented a paper on the appropriate measures to deal with children’s cases. The event, held under the slogan "Free my voice”, was organized by the Social Services Department of the Government of Sharjah, to mark the International Child Helpline Day.

The event aimed to acquaint children with their rights and emphasized their right to be heard by the various segments of society. It also highlighted the rights that children deserve, which reinforce existing child protection efforts.

In the paper, Captain Mohammed Al Shehhi, Children and Juveniles Branch Manager at the Social Support Center in the Western Region, discussed the different measures related to children's issues that are handled by the department through its centers in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region, as well as how the proper ways to deal with the various problems that children face.

Adding further, Captain Al Shehhi said: “The department handles children's issues in a highly confidential and professional manner. It also provides individual consultations and professional treatment, carried out by a highly qualified team of male and female specialists, who are trained to deal with children.”

Captain Al Shehhi also discussed the Social Support Centers Department’s plan aimed at raising awareness about the various social problems within society, particularly those related to children, and educating families on how to deal with and solve these problems.
