Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior recently honored First Corporal Sultan Abdul Qadir Ahmad Al Hajri, staff member at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai. The honoring ceremony, which was held at the Ministry of Interior’s Headquarters, is in recognition of Al Hajri’s efforts in arresting a woman wanted by authorities in a Gulf country, pretending to be a GCC national while transiting through Dubai International Airport. First Corporal Al Hajri was able to uncover the fraud, thanks to his heightened expertise and sense of security.

HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed praised the efforts of Al Hajri, his dedication and far-sightedness, as well as his valuable role in ensuring safety and security. He also encouraged him to pursue further excellence in police and security work.

First Corporal Al Hajri expressed his delight for the honor bestowed upon him by HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed. He emphasized that such recognition motivates him to further endeavor in performing his duties and reflects the attention dedicated by the police leadership towards staff members at various work locations. He wished the best of luck and success to his colleagues in the Airports security sector in the UAE, and called them the vigilant watchful eye that contributes to foster security and stability in the UAE.

The honoring ceremony was attended by Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai; and a number of senior officers.
