The Force, which will be an Interpol-like force inside GCC countries, aims to achieve greater coordination between law enforcement entities in GCC countries, exchange information and curb all forms of organized or transnational crimes and terror that undermine the security and safety of the region.

The GCC-POL, based in Abu Dhabi, will carry out various tasks and functions, notably linking between security and police departments in the GCC countries through common databases; contributing to efforts to prevent and curb crime; and creating regional and international partnerships in coordination with public organizations in this area.
