The Federal Civil Defense Sector Development Council held its fifth meeting at Al Ittihad Hall at the Ministry of Interior’s headquarters. During the meeting, which was chaired by Major General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Deputy Director of the Federal Civil Defense Sector Development Council, the ministry discussed the regulatory amendments pertaining to the Civil Defense Sector.

The council reviewed a statistical briefing on civil defense incidents, as well as the means to activate the Civil Defense Academy structure, the classification policy of civil defense centers and other topics on the agenda.

Major General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Deputy Director of the Federal Civil Defense Sector Development Council, called for additional efforts in the quest to achieve the UAE government’s vision, to lead the UAE towards becoming one of the best countries in the world in terms of safety and security. This would be achieved by reinforcing and developing the Civil Defense sector, to ensure the safety of lives and property according to cutting-edge smart systems.

The meeting was attended by Major General Jassem  Muhammad Al Marzouqui, Civil Defense  General Commander-in-chief; Major General Salem Mubarak Al Shamesi,  Director General of Finance and Services at the Ministry of Interior and members of the council.
