The board of the Police Sports Association approved the formation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) police team that will participate in the Asian club taekwondo championship for women, to be held in Sharjah in 2016. The board also approved the participation in the Arab Police Championship half marathon that will be organized in Jordan from 17-22 April 2016.

The meeting was held in the office of the Director General of the Police College and chaired by Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Board, with all board members in attendance. The board approved the schedule of the 34th annual shooting championship, its working committees, the daily recognition schedule, and the participation of police headquarters and general directorates in the championship. The chairman directed the development of a vision to honor sportsmen from the Ministry of Interior (MoI) staff who made achievements in international events.

The chairman expressed his gratitude to the police leaders, director generals and members of the council for the efforts they make to achieve the Police Sports Association’s strategy to spread sports among all police staff. He called upon them to continue efforts to elevate the level of sports activities in various police sectors in the UAE, and wished them success in serving the UAE.

The board also approved the minutes and resolutions from the previous meeting, the minutes of the first and second sessions of the association’s executive office meeting in 2015, the minutes of the first technical committee meeting in 2016, and the budget items of the Police Sports Association for 2016.
