Female recruits of the 44th Basic Training Course at the Police Schools affiliated to the Abu Dhabi Police reviewed the nature of work at the Punitive and Correctional Establishments Department (Al Ain Section). Male recruits from the Basic Training Course No.102 reviewed the security services provided by the Al Madina Police Station at the Al Ain Police Directorate.

During the field visit, female recruits were briefed about the police and societal services undertaken by the Al Ain Section, at the Punitive and Correctional Establishments Department; which include providing qualification, rehabilitation and therapeutic services to inmates. On the same note, male recruits were acquainted with the various tasks undertaken by the Al Madina Police Station in Al Ain. These tasks include crime scene procedures, criminal investigations, provisional arrest, means of receiving and handling notifications, and the duties of the community police.

It is worth mentioning that as a part of the training program established for the two courses, female and male recruits at the Ports and Airports Security Department acquired multiple skills in field security work, to prepare them to engage in police work. They were also acquainted with the police-community relations mechanism, as well as ways to handle the different tasks and duties and to build skills and capacity, so as to enhance performance according to the latest practices. This comes in line with the Abu Dhabi Police’s vision aimed at boosting security and stability in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Supervisor Anoud Abdullah Al Ibri accompanied the female recruits during their tour. Dr. Majed Lafi and Dr, Ibrahim Sraihin from the Police Schools Department at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ accompanied the male recruits during their field visit.
