The Police College inaugurated a ‘Reading Corner’, as a part of the Mobile Library at the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department building. The measure falls in line with ‘The College Reads’ initiative, in response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, who declared ‘2016, as ‘the Year of Reading’. The initiative aims at instilling the culture of reading and knowledge diversity reading amongst the College’s students.
The ‘Mobile Library’ includes a wide array of books, related to administrative affairs, arts, poetry, literature, Islamic sciences and law. The library will periodically tour the various departments and student clubs at the college. This cultural initiative will also include purposeful seminars to review and discuss a number of books and publications, in a bid to spread knowledge and to benefit all sides.
